Set of 4 Jane Austen Pride & Prejudice Framed Prints
Fabulous set of 4 prints from the Brock Illustrations drawn for Jane Austen Novel Pride & Prejudice. The original illustrations were drawn by C.E.Brock around the late 1800's. Each print is marked on the back of the frame. The frame is brown wood with a gold trim. Each frame has a green mat with a gold accent. Each frame measures 8" by 6". The illustrations are just beautiful with vibrant colors and written sentence at the bottom. The first print is marked on the back: Plate 2 and says: This print shows: Elizabeth Bennet, Mr. Darcy & Sir William Lucas Chapter Six. On the front Sir William Lucas says to Mr. Darcy, "You must allow me to present this young lady to you as a very desirable partner." The second print is marked Plate 4 and says: This print shows: Mr. Bingley & Jane Bennet Chapter Eleven. The front says "He was full of joy and attention." The third print is marked on the back Plate 11 and says: This print shows: Mr. & Mrs. Gardiner, Elizabeth Bennet & housekeeper, Mrs. Reynolds at Pemberley Chapter Forty-three. The front says "Mrs. Reynolds informed them that it had been taken in his father's lifetime." The fourth print says on the back Plate 15. This print shows: Jane Bennet & Mr. Bingley Chapter Fifty-five. The front says "As they hastily turned around---". These are just fabulous prints and a delight for the Jane Austen enthusiast. A great collector's addition.
