Fabulous Gesso Barbola Ladies Dressing Table Mirror
I am pleased to present this fabulous piece of English workmanship which dates to the early 1900's. The ladies dressing table mirror has beautiful handmade gesso flowers on the top of the frame and at the bottom 2 sides. They are sweetpeas and the colors are beautifully muted pinks, purples, burgundies, and greens. The workmanship of these flowers is superb. The beveled mirror itself is very high quality and can tilt up or down. It is hard to believe it dates to early 1900's as there is no loss of silver or any scratches. This mirror was very taken care of. The frame around the mirror has a gilt decorative border. It measures 18" high and 14" wide and sits on 2 level feet. I could find nothing wrong with it--no cracks or dents. This is definitely a one of a kind piece of art!
