Victorian Fairing Boy Looking Through Mirror German Box
Antique Victorian fairing Boy Looking Through Mirror German box. Fairings were made in the late 1800's by Germany for the Victorian's at fairs. This lovely box dates to the late 1800's and features a white china mantel with a boy sitting on the mantel looking through the mirror. The mantel is flanked on either side with kneeling winged horses. The top of the mantel has a black haired boy with a pitcher and dish looking at an ornate mirror. The box measures 4" high, 3.25" long, and 2" wide. There are no chips, but there are a few hairline cracks. Just a darling box.
